Location
The wines of Château Barréjat are situated in the district of Maumusson, in the heart of the appellation Madiran.
Vine yard surface
27 hectares
Grape varieties
60% Tannat, 40% Cabernet
Cultivation
The vineyard, with grass grown between the vines since 1960, is traditionally managed and organically enriched. De-budding, leaf thinning and green harvesting are all carried out in the pursuit of limiting the yield to 55 hl/ha maximum.
The reception of the hand-picked grapes has been optimized by the construction in 1996 of modern winery facilities and an underground barrel storehouse.
